A state-of-the-art community centre officially opened its doors in Truganina on Wednesday 26 June 2024, offering a wide range of facilities for families in Melbourne’s growing west.
The centre has a number of facilities for young families including kindergarten rooms for three and four-year-olds, playgroups, maternal and child health consulting suites.
It also features a 500 square metre library lounge with technology and study spaces, multipurpose community and meeting rooms, a community kitchen, staff offices, accessible amenities, outdoor areas, and on-site parking.
The $18.4 million project was jointly funded by the Victorian Government, Wyndham City Council, and developers, with $8.5 million coming from the Growing Suburbs Fund, Living Libraries Infrastructure Program and the Building Blocks Infrastructure Program.
