The VEC publishes a range of guidance materials for candidates in the Local Government elections, including advice on eligibility, the nominations process and campaigning available here.
Candidate Training
All candidates must complete Local Government Candidate Training before they are able to nominate.
You must complete the training before formally nominating as a candidate.

Information for Councils
The VEC and LGV have released a Guidance Note for Councils to provide guidance in relation to the preparation of voters’ rolls for the 2024 Local Government general election. The guidance material is available here.
