More open space to connect with neighbours is now open in Caroline Springs.
The official opening of Parkway Reserve on The Parkway took place on Thursday, 19 December 2024. The reserve now features more shade, pathways, playground equipment, and open space designed to encourage physical activity and engage residents of all ages.
Community feedback was sought by Melton City Council for the design of the park, which includes trees, timber decks, bench seats, a lawn area, a drinking fountain, and a basketball half-court.
The park will offer community groups spaces for small events and gatherings, while also increasing visitation to the local area.
The $1.4 million project was jointly funded by the Victorian Government and Melton City Council with $650,000 from the Growing Suburbs Fund.
