Residents of Inverleigh are jumping for joy after the opening of a brand-new recreation space, made possible through the Growing Suburbs Fund.

The official opening of the Inverleigh Active Youth Space took place on Monday, 2 December 2024 and will offer locals a new and improved outdoor recreation and community space.

The facility features a range of new recreational infrastructure, including a BMX track, skate park, basketball courts, shelters, paths, seating, tables and new carparks.

This space will provide young people in the growing township of Inverleigh with increased opportunities for physical activity, encourage social connections, and promote a positive community lifestyle in a safe environment.

The $2.34 million project was jointly funded by the Victorian Government, Commonwealth Government and the Golden Plains Shire Council with $700,000 from the Growing Suburbs Fund.
