The Dunmunkle Community Library Precinct was officially opened on Friday, 14 February 2025.

The project was completed in two phases. The first phase involved redeveloping the former Dunmunkle Shire building, while the second phase focused on enhancing the outdoor areas through activation and landscaping.

During the first phase, the former Dunmunkle Shire building was renovated to create distinct zones for the library, a quiet space, a makers/craft area, and a children’s zone. The building now features an accessible toilet and a children's changing area. It has been designed to support a self-service library model, offering the community increased access to library resources. The renovation also included the addition of a small kitchenette.

The second phase saw the activation of the building’s surrounding areas, with the creation of landscaped gardens, accessible paths, disability parking, a shaded children’s play area, a pergola, and the installation of plants and grass.
