Roadsides are a ready means for invasive plants and pest animals to spread throughout Victoria, threatening agricultural land, parks, forests and rural land asset values.
2026-2027
The Roadside Weeds and Pest Program has been allocated $2.86 million for the 2026-2027 financial year to assist eligible rural, regional, and interface councils responsible for managing lengths of municipal rural roadsides.
Roadside Weeds and Pests Control Plans
Councils are required to undertake roadside weed and pest control work consistent with their Roadside Weeds and Pests Control Plans endorsed by Agriculture Victoria.
