Following a $9.9 million transformation, Wyndham Cultural Centre has officially reopened on Tuesday, 11 November 2025, offering enhanced spaces for live performance, exhibitions, creative events and community connection.

This major project has revitalised the much-loved venue with a focus on comfort, accessibility, and modern functionality, while preserving the Centre’s original charm and community spirit.

The redevelopment delivered a range of upgrades, including:

  • Upgraded theatre facilities, including   improved sound, lighting, and hearing loop to elevate the audience experience
  • Refreshed foyers and front-of-house areas,   offering welcoming, light-filled spaces for gathering and pre-show connection
  • Wyndham Art Gallery relocated to a new   street-level home, improving visibility and access to contemporary visual   arts
  • Dedicated art collection space, supporting   long-term care and display of Wyndham’s growing art collection
  • Improved backstage amenities, including   upgraded dressing rooms and artist facilities
  • New internal access to Werribee Library from   Wedge Street, making movement between community spaces seamless

The completed works ensure the Wyndham Cultural Centre continues to serve as a hub for creativity and inclusion, a space where artists, audiences and communities come together to share, celebrate and be inspired.

The project was delivered by Wyndham City with $3 million in support from the Victorian Government’s Growing Suburbs Fund, contributing to the delivery of modern, high-quality cultural facilities for the region’s rapidly growing community.

With a refreshed venue and a bold new program of performances, exhibitions and events, Wyndham Cultural Centre is now ready for its next chapter.
