Highlander Community Centre (formerly the Craigieburn Community Centre) is a vibrant hub designed to bring people together for connection, learning and celebration. The centre was officially opened on Wednesday, 8 October 2025.
Featuring a spacious function hall, versatile meeting and training rooms, and a dedicated space for maternal and child health services, the Centre caters to a wide range of community needs. With free Wi-Fi and welcoming spaces for informal gatherings, it’s a place where residents can meet, collaborate, and unwind.
A unique highlight is its purpose-built room supporting the arts, equipped with mirrors, ballet barres, and stage lighting – perfect for dance, performance, and creative expression.
The community centre offers:
- Maternal and Child Health consulting rooms
- Multipurpose community meeting rooms for hire with TV and kitchen access
- IT Training Room
- Kitchen with automatic dishwasher
- Welcoming gathering space for informal meetings within the centre

The $8.37 million hub was jointly funded by Hume City Council and the Victorian State Government, with over $3.24 million coming from the Growing Suburbs Fund.
