The $6.1 million upgrade to the Galvin Park Sexton Pavilion in Werribee is now complete, enhancing the facility for cricket, netball, and football use. The upgrade includes a second-storey extension with a social room, committee room, kitchenette, timekeeper area, and office.
Additional improvements to the pavilion include four new change rooms, accessible to all participants, as well as new umpire rooms, a first-aid room, and additional storage facilities.
As part of the project’s sustainability focus, all gas appliances have been replaced with electric models, and more than 60 solar panels have been installed on the pavilion’s roof.
The Galvin Park pavilion upgrade has been funded through a $2 million grant from the Victorian Government’s Growing Suburbs Fund, $1 million from the Victorian Government’s Local Sports Infrastructure Fund, and $500,000 from the Federal Government.
The Werribee Centrals Sports and Youth Club also made a contribution to the fit-out of the pavilion.
