Two reserves in Taylors Hill and Burnside have been revitalised, transforming them into vibrant recreational spaces for the community. Official openings were held at both reserves on Friday, 13 June 2025. Barwon Street Reserve has been transformed into a space that strengthens connections to nature, with improvements to play and kick-about spaces, shared path connections, upgraded picnic facilities, and additional natural shade. The $500,000 project was jointly funded by Melton City Council and the Victorian Government with $250,000 contribution from the Growing Suburbs Fund. Earlington Square Reserve has been transformed into a welcoming, inclusive space that offers play opportunities for people of all ages and abilities. Upgrades include enhancements to shared paths, additional activity areas, refurbishment of the existing basketball court, improvements to picnic facilities and play spaces, new nature play elements, and additional tree planting to provide more natural shade and greenery. This $900,000 project was also jointly funded by Melton City Council and the Victorian Government with $450,000 contribution from the Growing Suburbs Fund.
