2015-2017 Funding details

Roadsides provide a ready means for invasive plants and pest animals to spread throughout Victoria, threatening parks, forests and rural land asset values.

The $5.2 million Roadside Weeds and Pests Management Program (RWPP) assists the 56 councils across Victoria responsible for managing lengths of rural roadsides. These councils receive up to $75,000 a year (2015-2017), to the end of June 2017, to manage invasive plants and pests along rural roadsides.

The list of regionally prohibited and regionally controlled weeds and pests eligible for treatment under the RWPP is available at the Agriculture Victoria website
